Make this Cross!!

The large wooden cross and the small cross are from Hobby Lobby. I painted the large cross with Glidden Wild Truffle sample paint from Wal-Mart. There is enough in the sample bottle to paint the entire cross. I then did a border with a silver metallic marker on the edge. The second cross I purchased at a gift shop. I then put all of them together with Liquid Nails.
If you watch the sales you can get good prices at Hobby Lobby. I would paint front and back of the cross and I would also sign and date it. If you are giving it as a gift you could also include a message.
Please join my blog for my projects.

This is a Dirt Cake and is made in a clear container from Michael's or Hobby Lobby. The sunflower is a Silk with leaves. I made a few of these for a graduation party and everyone thought it was a real centerpiece. We had to tell them they could eat it.
Recipe:
1 large pack Oreos, crushed to the consistency that they look like dirt
1 large pkg. of Vanilla pudding made according to directions

Cream Cheese Filling
1 8 oz. bar of cream cheese, softened
1 12 oz. Cool Whip, mostly thawed
1 1/2 cups Confectioners sugar
Beat the above 3 ingredients together with a mixer until smooth.
Layer crushed oreos, cream cheese mixture and pudding, continuing until full with the top being crushed oreos.
You can also make this in a flower pot with gummy worms for children's parties.

Crochet Baby Beanie

If you would like instruction on making this go to YouTube and look at baby beanie's under the Crochet Geek. I kind of did a mix of several of her designs and then did a flower. This is a wonderful lady to follow for instruction.
"Do not regret growing older. It is a privilege denied to many."-Unknown

I feel our age should be appreciated!! Last year I had the privilege of taking care of my sweet Aunt Judy until her death of lung cancer.  I can honestly say that I received more of a blessing from that - than she did. Four months later, I lost my Mother. I miss them both everyday. So if you have your family appreciate them and take the time to tell them.
This week my daughter gave me a new look!!! Did I say that although I am 50 I can appreciate it but I don't have to look like it!!
